Sikles, the main village on this trek, is one of the oldest Gurung villages in Nepal. People here live simple lives, farming and raising animals. Visiting Sikles gives a glimpse of traditional Nepalese life far from busy cities.

The trek starts from Pokhara, which is a well-known city and travel hub. From there, you travel to the trailhead, usually by jeep or local bus. As you walk, you will see rice terraces, small rivers, and thick forests. The path slowly climbs, and every turn offers a new view of the mountains. You may even spot wild birds and colorful flowers along the way. The trails are peaceful and not crowded, making this trek perfect for people who like calm and quiet adventures.

Kori is a small hamlet on this trek where you can meet friendly locals. They often welcome visitors with warm smiles and sometimes share their daily life stories. Staying in local tea houses here gives a real taste of village life. Kopuche Lake, the main attraction, is a serene and sparkling lake high in the mountains. It reflects the sky and surrounding hills beautifully. Early morning or late afternoon is the best time to visit because the light makes the lake look magical.

This trek is not very difficult compared to other Himalayan treks. It is suitable for beginners and families who enjoy walking and exploring nature. The trek usually takes 5 to 7 days, depending on how much time you spend at each village and the lake. Altitude changes are gentle, so there is less risk of altitude sickness, but it is always good to walk slowly and drink enough water.

Besides nature, this trek also gives a chance to learn about Gurung culture, their traditional houses, festivals, and customs. Trekking here is more than just walking; it is about connecting with people, enjoying quiet mountains, and feeling the simplicity of village life.
