You will also get a chance to check your trekking gear and make sure everything is ready. Kathmandu is a lively city with rich culture and history, and seeing temples and local markets will give you a small preview of Nepal before starting your trek.
Distance travelled today is around 10 km from the airport to the hotel.
On the second day, you will leave Kathmandu early in the morning and drive to Syabrubesi by bus. Along the way, you can enjoy views of terraced fields, traditional villages, and forests.
Syabrubesi is a small town at the entrance of Langtang Valley. The area is surrounded by green hills and has a peaceful atmosphere. Once you reach Syabrubesi, you can relax at your lodge and enjoy the fresh mountain air. You may also take a short walk around the village to see local houses and the Trishuli River flowing nearby. Dinner will be served at the lodge, and you can prepare for the trek starting the next day.
On the third day, your trek begins as you leave Syabrubesi and walk towards Lama Hotel. The trail is about 12 km long and usually takes 5 to 6 hours to complete at a comfortable pace. You will start by walking through small villages and terraced fields, where local people live and farm. Lama Hotel is a cozy lodge at the edge of the forest where you will rest for the night. This is a good place to enjoy warm food, meet other trekkers, and feel the calm mountain environment. The fresh air and quiet surroundings make it easier to relax after the first day of trekking.

On the sixth day, you will stay in Kyanjin Gompa and have the option to hike to Kyangjin Ri or Tserko Ri. The hike to Kyangjin Ri is about 4 km round trip and takes around 3 to 4 hours. It is a moderately steep climb, but the views from the top are rewarding. From the summit, you can see Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and many other snow-capped peaks.
Tserko Ri is another popular viewpoint and may take slightly longer to reach. Along the trails, you will pass rocky paths, small streams, and areas with colorful prayer flags. The high altitude requires a slow pace and regular rest to stay comfortable.
