On the first day, you will start your journey from Kathmandu and drive to Pokhara. The road takes about 6 to 8 hours, covering around 200 km. As you leave the busy city of Kathmandu, you will notice the landscape slowly changing. The hills become greener, and small rivers flow along the road. You can see local villages, terraced fields, and friendly people going about their daily life. Pokhara is a peaceful city beside Phewa Lake, and it is surrounded by mountains. When you arrive, you can rest, enjoy a walk by the lake, or explore the local market. The city is a perfect place to prepare for your trek, check your gear, and enjoy a calm evening with mountain views in the background. This day helps you relax and get ready for the adventure ahead.

On the second day, you will start with a drive from Pokhara to Kimche or Ghandruk. The drive takes about 3 to 4 hours and covers roughly 35 km. Along the way, you will see small villages, terraced fields, and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Ghandruk is a charming village with stone houses and traditional culture, perfect to explore before starting your trek.

From Ghandruk, the trek begins toward Tadapani. The trail is about 7 km and takes around 4 hours. You will walk through forests of rhododendron and oak, cross small streams, and enjoy peaceful mountain views. Tadapani is a quiet village at 2,700 meters, where you can rest in a cozy teahouse. The fresh air, green forests, and views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountains make the trek relaxing and enjoyable.

On the third day, you will start your trek from Tadapani to Bayeli Kharka. The trail is about 10 km and takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete. The path goes through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine trees. You may hear birds singing and see butterflies along the way. The trail gradually climbs, giving you small breaks to enjoy the mountain views.

As you walk higher, the air becomes cooler and fresher. You will pass small streams and watch the landscape change from green forests to open meadows. Bayeli Kharka is a peaceful grazing area surrounded by mountains, where you can rest in a simple teahouse. The wide open space and views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre make this stop very special. Spending the night here helps your body adjust to higher altitudes for the next day of trekking.

On the fourth day, you will trek from Bayeli Kharka to Khopra Danda, a ridge at 3,660 meters. The trail is about 8 km and takes around 5 hours. The path climbs steadily through open meadows and small forests. Along the way, you will see yaks grazing and enjoy peaceful surroundings.

As you walk higher, the views of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre mountains become wider and more beautiful. The fresh mountain air makes the climb refreshing, even when the trail is steep at times. Khopra Danda is a special place with a wide 360-degree view of the mountains and valleys below. Staying here allows you to relax and enjoy the scenery. The calm environment and breathtaking views make it one of the most memorable parts of the Khopra Trek.

On the fifth day, you will descend from Khopra Danda to Swanta. The trail is about 10 km and takes around 4 to 5 hours. As you walk down, the views of the mountains gradually become framed by forests and valleys. The path goes through mixed forests, small streams, and open fields where you can see yaks and local wildlife.

The descent is gentle in some parts and steeper in others, giving you chances to rest and enjoy the scenery. Swanta is a small, quiet village surrounded by green hills and terraced fields. You can spend the evening walking around, meeting friendly locals, and experiencing village life. The air here is fresh and calm, and the views of the mountains from the village make it a peaceful stop after the high ridge.

On the sixth day, you will trek from Swanta to Ghorepani. The trail is about 9 km and takes around 5 hours. The path gradually climbs through forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine. Along the way, you can see small streams, birds, and butterflies, making the walk peaceful and enjoyable.

As you get closer to Ghorepani, the views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountains become clearer. Ghorepani is a popular village in the Annapurna region, known for its teahouses and friendly local people. You can rest in a cozy teahouse and enjoy a warm meal. The village offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, especially at sunset. Spending the night here helps your body adjust to the altitude and prepares you for the next day’s adventure.

On the seventh day, you will wake up early to hike to Poon Hill at 3,210 meters. The short climb is about 2 km and takes around 1 hour. From the top, you can enjoy a beautiful sunrise view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre mountains. The clear morning sky and snow-covered peaks make this a special experience.

After the sunrise, you will trek down to Birethanti. The trail is about 11 km and takes around 4 to 5 hours. You will pass through forests, streams, and small villages along the way. Birethanti is a peaceful place at 1,039 meters where the trek ends. From there, you will take a 2-hour drive back to Pokhara. The drive gives a chance to relax, enjoy the valley views, and reflect on the journey before reaching the city.

On the eighth day, you will drive back from Pokhara to Kathmandu. The journey is about 200 km and usually takes around 6 to 8 hours. As you leave Pokhara, you will see the city slowly become smaller, and the landscape changes to green hills, rivers, and small villages along the way. The road passes through terraced fields and local markets where people live their daily life.

During the drive, you can relax and enjoy the scenery, reflecting on the memories of your trek. Kathmandu is a busy city with lively streets, temples, and cultural sites. When you arrive, you can rest and share stories from your trek with friends or family. This day is mostly for travel and rest, giving you a chance to slowly return from the quiet mountains to the city life while thinking about the adventure you have completed.
